About Me
My name is Dustin Patrick, and I am an avid hunter in the Marion, Indiana area. I graduated from the University of Toledo in 2011. I have worked in the criminal justice system for 16 years. I have been an active member of a Volunteer Fire Department for over 6 years.
I first became interested in Deer Drone Recovery in 2022, when one of my hunting buddies was unable to locate his 180+ class buck that he shot. We spent days searching, including the aid of tracking dogs. We were still unable to locate the downed deer.
In 2023, I had the exact thing happen to me. I had shot the biggest buck in my life with my bow, but the blood trail went dry. Several days were spent searching for the deer, but inevitably we were unsuccessful in locating the deer.
(My deer was located in February 2024 by a bird photographer. She was unwilling to give up the deer).
That’s when I said, enough was enough!
I obtained my Commercial Remote Pilots license by the FAA in 2024. Then received professional training at Deer Drone Recovery. Mike Yoder and his team provided hands-on training in recovery techniques using State-of-the-art drones with Thermal Imaging technology.
